I love B5. The Babylon 5 Webring has about 200 sites, the TNT site is probably the official site, and my personal favorite is the Lurkers Guide.
Dilbert
I'm not a DNRC member because I am not worthy. One day I may be. So I add the link here.
Employment
I am a full time employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Marysville, Ohio.
Goodyear doesn't make tires in Marysville. We make conveyer belts for iron, coal, copper mines and many other industrial uses.
My Computer
Other than that I play on my computer the rest of the time. In case you are curious my system specs are:
System 1
- Systemname: Dirk
- Windows 2000 Pro - Linux Slackware
- Tyan Tiger MP - Dual Athon 1200 - 512Mb - 80Gb + 9Gb SCSI for Linux
System 2
- Systemname: Sparks
- Solaris 8
- Sun Ultra 30 - UltraSparc 300 - 256Mb - 18Gb
- Runs Limewire (Gnutella) and XASTIR 24/7. Damn reliable. Runs both local mode APRS and APRS IS.
System 3
- Systemname: Tess
- MacOS 8.6
- Macintosh PowerPC Performa 6400/200 - 56Mb - 2.8Gb
- Runs MacAPRS 24/7. Memory is a problem, so it runs in local mode only.
- It has a VPower G3 chip, but runs disabled because it conflicts with MacAPRS.
System 4
- Systemname: Mike
- Windows NT 4.0 - Windows 98
- Intel Pentium 233 MMX - 64Mb - 9.1Gb
- Model 240 case
- Currently only slightly used.
System 5
- Systemname: WinBook
- Windows 95C
- Intel Pentium 120 - 32Mb - 8.3Gb Laptop
- I originally chose a laptop for a packet system because it only uses so little power, I figure about 1 amp or so per hour or less. Being a P120, it's also pretty cheap. Bought used for only $180. I had to replace the hard drive. No CDROM, but I bought a $15 Network card to copy stuff off of the network. Addendum. Although a great idea, the laptop is not very reliable and would crash (probably heat related) every 5 to 12 hours or so. The Mac does a great job as a packet station. The Sun may replace it one day, when Xastir becomes more user friendly.
PGP
I like PGP. If you want my block. Then you know what to do.
PGP Public KeyHave a nice day
